Re: 10/12 report. (rte 30 NOW! NOW! NOW!)

Thanks ct! Unfortunately we were unable to make it to the Townshend festival. Read the reports on the board that the color wasn't great in that area. So we had a choice between hitting the festival or chasing color elsewhere. There's always next time!

Re: HELP! We are here...color is not

Thank you, Triz. I appreciate the advice. I think that's what we'll try to do. Our vacation home her in Jamaica is incredible but the lack of leaves are making me a tad sad. We did head up to Merck Farms today and it was a great little trip with the girls. I'm going to see if I can find us a vacati...

10/12 report. (rte 30 NOW! NOW! NOW!)

Yesterday was our last day. I saw that there was snow in the forecast for higher elevations and an early morning check of the Killington webcam showed snow on the ground. So we rode the gondola up and it was snowing up top with an inch or two in the ground. Tons of fun for our Florida kids to play i...

Re: Leaf-drop after heavy rain today

I'll be up to Mt Greylock tomorrow, hoping for good foliage conditions on the drive up. We are taking I-91 to I-90 to Route 7 and Route 2 home. Currently it's snowing in Vermont above 2,700' and accumulating above 3,000'. We just came down from the Killington gondola. It was snowing with a couple i...

Re: Stowe & Waitsfield 10/10

Colors are starting to get good in the Champlain Valley/Route 7 corridor. From Rochester, pop over Rochester Gap (Route 73). Take Route 53 along Lake Dunmore. Explore the back roads of Weybridge, Cornwall, Sailsbury, East Middlebury, Bristol, Starksboro, Lincoln, Hinesburg, New Haven, Ferrisburgh, ...

Snookman: Liberty Hill Farm is a treasure! I've stayed there before and the meals are OUTSTANDING! Huge breakfasts and dinners. Beautiful farm indeed. Best farm stay I've ever experienced. Enjoy! :D Excited to be here! My boys are getting a big kick out of being on a farm. On Saturday I need to mak...

Stowe & Waitsfield 10/10

Stowe still had good color today. Though I felt like the best had passed. Lots of wind throughout the day with leaves coming down. We biked the Stowe recreation path which was fun. Stopped and did the corn maze with the kids. Drove up to smugglers notch, it's past peak up there. Still worth it thoug...

Kanc - 10/9

Hit the Kanc today on the way up from Boston to Stowe. Will do Stowe and surrounding area the next two days. It was our first time and it was awesome! So much to see and do. To my untrained Florida eyes I would say near peak in Conway, a tad past peak in some spots at the top (especially on the high...

Driving from Boston to Stowe Tomorrow

Hi Everyone! Making this drive tomorrow with the family. Wondering if there are places that are peak right now that I should hit along the way before they move past peak? Even if I have to go a bit out of the way, that's fine. Is the kanc past peak? Groton state forrest area past peak? Other suggest...

Re: Foliage forecast update

Thinking about making a last minute trip up from Florida. Dates would be 10/10-14. A little later than I would normally like, but is foliage running late this year? What do you guys think of those dates?
