Re: Route 100 update

Thanks for your great detailed report. The more I read the more I get thrilled we'll soon travel around there in VT.
It's hard to imagine all the damage, but seems everybody's working hard to make it a great foliage season!

Re: foliage plans

No one any idea?
Would be really helpful to me, because you know the area much better than I!

Re: foliage plans

During the past days I regularly had a quick look at the resources for road closures. Yesterday I finally checked our planned route in detail and learned that nearly every day we've to expect delays/detours. But specially October 10th, 11th and 14th seem not to be practicable from today's point of v...

Re: foliage plans

Wentworth and pwt54, thanks for your opinion. Seems we're really too late in some areas, but as mentioned, doing everything a week earlier won't work for us. At least I'm glad to hear that for other areas everything might be just in time. Thanks for the hint with Champlain Valley, I should have a lo...

Re: foliage plans

Hi! Thanks for your answer. I've to admit that we're not really flexible with reworking the trip, because all accomodation is prebooked. Indeed I could still cancel and change, but meanwhile it shouldn't be easier to find the right places in our price range, so... I know, that we're too early in Aca...

foliage plans

Hi guys! I found this great forum three years ago when we planned our first trip to New England. This year, we’re about to be back and I’m wondering what you think about the plans I’ve made for our stay in Vermont. I’m travelling with my husband and son and we’re starting in NYC (Boston would have b...

Hi!

I saw a moose on Columbus Day on my way to Franconia Notch SP, coming from Bear Notch Road. It was a young one and right next to the street and didn't pay attention to all the photographers who stopped by.

Thanks pwt for your opinion. Of course I'll keep my room in NH, booked it already in May and all the following hotels are reserved as well. Can you say something to this: Are there Scenic Views from #100 like you can overlooking a valley with colourful treet or views uphill or how do I have to imagi...

Hi there! Even 'though I didn't started this thread I like to push it forward and add my own questions. I'm from Germany and on Saturday my husband and I will fly in to Newark and start a tour through New England from there. We've been six times to the Southwest, but I'll be our first time in the Ea...
