Re: Happy Autumn 2018!!!

Oh my gosh! As I was driving over the mountain to the stables this morning, a song by Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" came on (my favorite love song!) and as I came to the summit, reds and oranges appeared at the tops of the trees! Does it get any better than that? :D :D :D Harvest Moon, first...

Re: Northeast Kingdom Destinations

Hello Ed: Phil and I are probably not going to Lewis Pond again. I've been 3 times now and could never convince him to drive there again! And I won't drive in there by myself! That being said, I would still enjoy meeting up with you somewhere if our schedules work out. As I am in Warren Oct 1...

Re: Foliage forecast update

Ed: Thank you for noting the villages and pond. I have a Mass Delorme and will highlight these areas. Can you believe I've never been to the Quabbin? It's practically at my doorstop! Everyone loves it there so I will make a day trip out of this. Thanks again, CT

Re: State Foliage Reports 2018

Texas: Yep, very early color and getting there. I saw similar change in southern VT last Sunday but more uniform, and the most change was at the top of the mountain in Woodford (near route 9).

Texas: Minnesotaman will be the one to watch for some of the best reports around Woodstock. He stays there on Cloudland Road for a month! Hi Loafer! I might see you there! Charles (ixl from forum) and I are going to go on Kelly Stand and hike Grout Pond Saturday or Sunday of next weekend. Have you been to Grout Pond? It's really nice. He has a cottage on Somerset and we are going to check on the progress he has made fixing it up. Have...

I've always wanted to go to the Newfane Heritage Festival but I was always gone by Columbus Day Weekend because then I start my Connecticut and Berkshire tours and maybe back to VT one day on a weekend later in October. This year I am staying in VT two weeks! ...

Re: State Foliage Reports 2018

This latest one sounds like a very "cautious" report and things are still pretty green. Hopefully, the 30s this weekend will spark the change we have all been looking for!
