Hi John, that's great! I'll be there as I mentioned on 10/5 for the festivities and I know exactly where the pond is! Keep 'em coming! CT

Re: October 5-8 too early?

Hello Triz and welcome to the forum! I agree with John. I thought about this last night and I'm always reluctant to suggest to folks to change their dates. The highlands around Bennington and Brattleboro should be great at that time (route 9 crosses the state west to east). One of our forum members ...

Re: Can you tell where it is? I want to visit there

This is definitely Peacham where Carol took her shot. I've been there several times and you have to go into the cemetery to get the full scope of that long view. It is quite a magical place indeed. CT

Re: Aerial video of Owls Head in Groton

Hi John! Are you trying to torture me? I still have a week and two days left until my adventures begin! Great video, looks a tad early to mid? Might be perfect for our Thursday, October 5th SOV meetup; we haven't decided to go to the Groton Forest or over to the Marshfield, Cabot, W...

John: I see that CBS Boston has shown your video of Little Averill Pond. Congratulations! It will probably be even more widespread before you know it! :D

Re: Two questions regarding iPhone !!!

Hi Sparks: No question is too dumb on this forum and all are worthy of an answer so continue to ask away! I have had great luck with AT&T in both areas. But be aware, there are pockets of non reception in both. Some can be for a longer period of time or just transient so be patient. It really de...

Re: Groton Lake 9/16/17

Hello again John! Absolutely mesmerizing video and so clear! Nice show of early foliage emerging but I have to say the colors are so strong and vibrant. Music was great accompaniment as well. I really like how the drone slowed down at the end on the dirt road as a nice finale. Remind me not to watch...

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

Hi John: this will be my third time at the Lewis Overlook. I try to go every couple of years. It never disappoints. I even enjoy the long ride in because the anticipation of the finality of arriving at the overlook is worth every minute! Have you been to Moose Bog in the state’s Wenlock Wildlife Man...

Re: 360 Degree Aerial Panoramas of Foliage Scenes

Tim: wonderful perspective of Lake Willoughby and the surrounding cliffs. I loved it! Nice color emerging too. I think Willoughby is absolutely majestic and one of the hottest spots to experience in Vermont. Thanks for doing this and I hope to see more of these 360s! CT

If you go on "Capture My Vermont" website you'll see folks starting to upload outstanding photos of emerging color. The best of the best VT photographers on this site in my opinion. CT

Re: Are We Headed for an Early Foliage Season in VT?

My personal observations are that we are still tending towards an "earlier" season. Based upon my travels in the NW Hills of CT yesterday, the colors are still developing rapidly despite the warm day time temperatures. The nights are cool, the shortening days are really fast approaching, w...

NEK Video #3 9/15 - Significant Changes by Admin (Tim Board Owner)

http://www.foliage-vermont.com/daily_videos.html

Here is Tim's (Admin) video #3 showing some very obvious color changes since his last video. He coins this one "The Color Is Here". (Seymour Lake and Morgan, VT).

Great video Tim and thank you for all you do. CT
