Re: Foliage This Year - Some Observations and Comments

I agree Andy. Being flexible is the key. It's nice to have an itinerary planned, but you need to be flexible and may have to change up your plans depending on where the best color can be found. I also agree that Vermont is a unique and beautiful place and even if the foliage isn't the greatest, it's...

Re: From Boston to Vermont. Which is more scenic ?

I've been milling this one over. Stay in/near Woodstock. Book your lodging now. I'm heading up from Boston tomorrow morning at 5 am. I will report back to you on Sunday evening my findings in the Franconia Notch area as well as the NEK of VT. I think your route looks fine. There could be one minor c...

Re: Fall trip. Need help to fix my routes

Hi Photo guy. Hmmmm........I'm not too familiar with the Brattleboro area and Southern VT so you may want to wait for someone with more expertise than me.......but I think that area will no have much color that early in the season. I know when I had visited Brattleboro a few years ago, it was after ...

Re: New England trip. Seeking suggestion

Hi Dipan, Welcome to the forum. Yes, the Sept. 30th is looking like it will be a good time to see the foliage this year, as it really beginning to come on. To answer your question, not sure why the Northeast is given more coverage than the rest of the state. It could be its because it's one of the f...

Re: Groton Lake 9/16/17

It's looking good John. I'm really liking how vibrant the reds are looking again this year. Appreciate the photo. What percent would you say has changed in the Groton State Forest area? (Approximately) From your photo it looks st least 50 percent?
Thanks.

Re: Early color in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont

Very nice drone footage! I don't know if it will matter in Vermont, but I drove through much of Wisconsin this week and while early, I found pockets of brilliant reds, crimson reds, oranges and yellows. The color was especially nice from Black River Falls to Wisconsin Dells. Looks like it will be a...

Re: PHOTOGRAPHING VERMONT'S FALL FOLIAGE eBOOK

Congratulations to both of you on getting this finished! I know you've been working on the updated version for a long time.
