Re: Photog Ed McGuirk in Nature Photographers Network, excellent article: The Colors of Spring – The “Other” Foliage Sea

Great read Ed. I really enjoyed it. Perhaps we are kindred spirits. :-) I am also drawn to the way that the colors of Spring mimic the colors of Fall. As much as I love Fall photography, Spring comes in a very close second. I love to see Nature wake up from it's Winter slumber. We're just starting t...

What a sweet treat! Enjoyed your blog post and photos immensely. I’m looking forward to our visit the end of May, it has been since 99, that we visited in a season other than autumn. Off Topic/Maple Syrup Open House Weekend 2019

I've written a series of blog posts about this year's Vermont Maple Open House Weekend. This year we were blessed with almost 20 inches of new snow up in the NEK which was a welcomed treat. Please click the link to the blog post, and if interested in seeing any other posts written about the snowy we...

Re: Tamarack Trees

Hi Tim, I DID see that stand of trees at exit 23. They are beautiful. In fact, there are many tamaracks roadside along upper Rte 93 and along Rte 91 in Vermont. I love your photos, as usual. They are wonderful, all of them, but my favorite is the one with the church steeple. Thanks for the info and ...

Re: Tamarack Trees

Hi Ed, The tamaracks are putting on quite the display right now. I was up there this weekend with my husband. It wasn't a weekend for photography but I did manage to take a few shots. I hope you went up this weekend. If you didn't go this weekend, I hope you can make it up there next weekend. I thin...

Ha ha Ed. Yes, I did bring the macro lens with me.......it just stayed in the bag the whole time. Thanks for the NH recommendation. I think you will really enjoy this place. You can make some magic with your macro lens here.

Re: Visitor from California - help needed to time foliage viewing for Southern VT

I agree with Ed. Those dates are pretty late for VT. The last place to turn in VT each year is over in the Champlain Valley, which has some beautiful locations.......but I'm thinking those dates may even be too late for that area. BM may come along with some insight for you regarding that area. As E...

Re: My Photos from this year

An excellent collection of images Carol. Why haven't you included any shots from all of the gloriously sunny days we had this past week  My favorites are "Windswept Sugar House" and "Morning Sky May Pond". You did very well considering the weather we had to work with in 201...
