Re: Growth as a Photographer

Thanks, Margy and Carol. I value our friendship much more than any photography - but it is what brought us all together. Carol, we are all still learning - I have always thought that when you stop learning, you are going backward. Very true Andy. I love the fact that we are all still learning. I th...

Re: Witness Tree

Hi Al, Be sure you go to Robinson Hill Road while in Calais. It's in the ebook. Drive up to the top of the hill and then turn around. The scene will be behind you. There's also other beautiful views up there and a couple of gorgeous horses. I think I spent about an hour walking around and shooting i...

Hi Tim
Thank you so much for posting. I was hoping you would. :-) and was figuring you would be out with your camera this weekend, so it's a very nice treat to see this today. Early colors are looking fantastic. You're the best. Thanks!!!!

We've had at least one fairly widespread frost here in the NEK last week and are expecting another one tonight.
Color change is on schedule, if not a bit ahead. The change over the last few days has been really noticeable.
Thanks for the report Tim. That's great news.

Re: Jobs Pond - My Favorite NEK Foliage Location

Stunning photos all, and thanks so much for sharing. May I add my thanks to Andy & Carol for their efforts in creating such a great resource, I love it! And to everywhere who shares their favorite spots. The ache in my heart is real, but keep the photos and good times coming. Thank you Janice. It m...

This will be great to follow Tim. Thanks so much for doing this. It's nice to see the very early color change at this point and it will be interesting to watch it progress.

Re: Growth as a Photographer

Thank you for the compliment Andy. I remember when I first started posting here and I was so proud of my photos. Ha ha. I have to admit I've come a long way since then and I owe a lot of that to you (and Al). I'm still learning and there's always so much more room for improvement, but the passion is...

Re: Jobs Pond - My Favorite NEK Foliage Location

Such a gorgeous place and stunning pictures! I haven't had the chance to visit Jobs pond yet, hopefully I can come back to VT next year when my daughter will be a bit older :) My wife and I were lucky enough to see other beautiful VT ponds in our last two trips (thanks to suggestions from you guys)...

Re: Jobs Pond - My Favorite NEK Foliage Location

I agree with you Ed. I'm glad that the e-book helped you to find this gem of a place. It's also a favorite of mine and never disappoints. Also, beautiful photos posted here by both you and NEK. I loved seeing them! I discovered a different vantage point a few years ago. As you are standing along the...

Re: Favorite picnic spot and outdoor eating

Hi "Mom", There are picnic tables at the Pageant Park area of Crystal Lake in Barton. Take Pageant Park Road off Rte 16E (Lake Willoughby Rd) and it is down on the right hand side. Don't go to the main Crystal Lake State Park entrance, as it is gated in the Fall and closed for the season. You can se...

Re: Route 114

On our last trip, Route 114 was amazing!! One of my best pics was taken on the right side of the road heading north with a horse and big rustic barn on the hillside. I'm wanting to take that route again but not wanting to go all the way to Island Pond. What would be my best bet to get from Route 11...
